Meditation in Music Education
Join me as I discover meditation as a tool to support the mental health and learning of students in various settings. I’m an assistant teacher of instrumental music in the Boston public charter school Bridge Boston, which is an intense and immersive El Sistema-based program. I also teach private lessons and am a freelance violinist. My focus on this website will be on utilizing existing meditation resources and my own trial-and-error experience, along with that of my colleagues’. I hope to provide a platform that teaching artists can use to grow their own practice of meditation in arts education. As a violinist I’m also exploring how to use meditation to enhance my own personal growth and performance.
